OGCS Guinea SARL is a consultancy company specializing in the provision of multi-disciplined Project Management Services to the Global Mining and Energy Industry. We invite applicants for this role for the Simandou project in Guinea, West Africa.
Position Overview:
We are seeking experienced and safety-focused Construction Engineers to support the construction of major plant, rail, and civils infrastructure for the Simandou Iron Ore Mine in Guinea. Candidates are invited who have a strong background in site-based execution, ready to lead coordination, drive progress, and uphold quality and safety across all work fronts.
This role is based at the Simandou Mine Site in Guinea , with occasional travel between project sites. There are multiple positions available.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinating construction activities across disciplines
Monitoring progress, field execution, and contractor interfaces
Reviewing IFC drawings and supporting work pack development
Ensuring QA/QC and safety compliance on the ground
Supporting planning, logistics, and readiness reviews
What you’ll bring:
Proven construction experience on large-scale industrial or mining projects.
Strong leadership in field engineering and contractor management.
Familiarity with major project tools (e.g., Primavera, Aconex, SmartPlant).
Willingness to work in remote, international and challenging settings.
Committed to high safety and quality standards.
Required Qualifications:
Degree or Diploma in Construction or Civil Engineering
7–15+ years in mining, heavy industrial, or remote projects
Experience working in West Africa or similar remote regions is highly desirable.
Knowledge of project execution in greenfield mega-projects is a plus.
